Movie Tavern at Marcus Theatres
Movie Tavern brings Marcus Theatres full food and drink menu into the theater. Patrons can order from the Tavern bar space, ticket kiosks in the lobby or an app on their phone and have their food delivered to them in the auditoriums.
Wotanowicz says people should arrive about a half hour before their show starts to find their seats, peruse the menu and order popcorn and drinks or food. They can press a button on their table to summon a server during the movie if they need something else.
The theater has a clean look and high ceilings. Its lobby and bar are a great place to grab drinks before your movie starts. There are also tables if you prefer to kick back at your seat.
The food menu is chef-driven with a large selection of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and entrees along with vegetarian options. Drinks include beer, wine and cocktails. They also serve soft drinks.
Customers can order food and drinks at the kiosks in the front lobby, at the Tavern bar space or on their phone app. Then they can push a button on their tray table to bring it to their seat.
This theater is the first in Wisconsin for Movie Tavern, which Marcus Theatres acquired earlier this year. It features several popular programs, including $5 Movie Tuesdays and Student Thursdays when students show their ID. It also includes DreamLounger recliner seating in all auditoriums. The new tavern is located in the Brookfield Square mall.
Movie Tavern’s menu includes a range of appetizers, salads, pizzas and entrees as well as beer, cocktails and wine. The theater also has vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Unlike the classic movie theater where you buy overpriced popcorn, boxes of candy and watered down fountain drinks from a concession stand to take into your seat, at the tavern, you can purchase food and drink directly from a server and have it delivered right to your row. Guests can order from the menu at the Tavern bar space, at one of the ticket kiosks near the entrance or via an app on their phone.
The Tavern serves a variety of draft and bottle beers, including the signature Tavernrita made with 1800 Tequila, Cointreau, sour mix and orange juice. It is available in 16- and 22-ounce sizes.
Movie Tavern also goes a step beyond the typical movie concessions of popcorn, soda and candy and offers a full menu of food and alcoholic drinks that can be delivered to your seat. Customers can order from one of the theater’s interaction points – at the kiosk, the Tavern bar space, the food and drink center against the northern wall of the theater or via an app on their phone – and have the order delivered to their seat inside the auditorium.
Movie Tavern serves beer, wine and specialty and classic cocktails and appetizers like sliders, burgers, pizza and salads. The Tavern Tanker, a stein that holds 38 ounces of beer, is also available. The theater also sells a variety of bottled beverages to take home. Customers can also refill their tanksards at discounted rates in the movie tavern, which opens in Camillus, NY this week. The theater with restaurant and bar is expected to be a popular spot for movie goers and beer lovers in the region.
Movie Tavern is revolutionizing the way America enjoys eating, drinking and movies by offering a robust in-theater dining service. It offers a wide range of food and drinks including the Tavern Tanker, which is a refillable stein that holds 38 ounces of beer, as well as appetizers, burgers, pizza, dessert and more.
Movie lovers can place their orders from one of the theater’s multiple interaction points – the ticket kiosk in the front hallway, the Tavern bar space or the new food and drink center against the north wall of the auditorium – and have their dishes delivered to them in the theater’s DreamLounger seats while they watch the film.
The restaurant also allows customers to purchase food in advance of their movie screening, so it can be prepared before the movie begins. The process is very similar to ordering food and beverages from a bar or restaurant. Guests can also use the Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern app to place an order ahead of time, which will be delivered directly to their DreamLounger seats in the theater.
